According to reports from top Spanish paper, Marca, Super Eagles/Watford
striker Odion Ighalo and 93 others including his ex-Granada teammate,
Diego Buonanotte might face a two-year jail term after facts emerged he
was involved in a bribery scandal while he played with Granada in
Spain.
According to the report, Ighalo and 93 others
bribed their way through driving tests in 2012 and 2013 as they hired
someone to sit for exams and the striker potentially faces a jail term
of 2 years and fine of €3,000 if an open trial is to be held according
to the provincial district attorney’s office of Granada.
According
to the report, the Super Eagles star and 93 others paid between €1,500
and €2,500 to students who wrote their driving exams for them and in
Ighalo's case, after the exam- the errors from his sheet were deleted.
Ighalo has now been charged with 'falsifying an official document'.
