English FA Cup champion, Manchester United defeated English Premier League champion, Leicester City 2-1 on Sunday, to clinch a record 21 Community Shield title. Manchester United’s Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (up) beats Leicester City’s English defender Wes Morgan (down) to head in their second goal during the FA Community Shield football match between Manchester United and Leicester City at Wembley Stadium in London on August 7, 2016.

United got the first goal 31 minutes into the game after a Wayne Rooney free-kick was headed clear by Wes Morgan. The Red Devils number 10 picked the ball up again 35 yards out, tapped it to Lingard who went on a run, took the ball past King and Drinkwater, nutmegged Morgan before slamming a low shot into the net. England international, Jamie Vardy, who grabbed a 24-goal haul in the EPL last season, continued his scoring form when he stepped in at the 52nd minute to secure an equaliser for the Foxes after a howler by Fellaini.
At the 83rd minute United new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores on his competitive debut for the Reds. The big Swede restored United’s lead after climbing above Morgan to nod an Antonio Valencia cross into the bottom corner.

United have won the Community Shield in six of their last six appearances (2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2016).
