If you’re missing Matt Ryan as John Constantine, you’ll be happy to know he’s reprising the role.
Unfortunately the short-lived NBC series is still dead, but Ryan will be taking his character on another journey. Though it won’t be live-action, Ryan will be voicing Constantine in upcoming DC Animation feature Justice League Dark.
The home release of Batman: The Killing Joke revealed the casting, as it includes a sneak peek at the forthcoming straight-to-video movie. “I really wanted to jump into this project to play Constantine in a different context, around some of the iconic characters that are in the DC ‘dark’ world,” Ryan says in the video (via comicbook.com).
This isn’t the first time he has reprised the role – he previously played the character in an episode of Arrow. Justice League Dark will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital HD this autumn.
