The singer in a tribute to his loyal fans for supporting him over the years shared a message on Instagram Monday, September 26, 2016.
The singer made it known for the umpteenth time that he did not steal late Dagrin’s style of music. He noted that the accusation that he stole the late rapper’s style almost ruined his musical career. He wrote: “The vultures in the industry tried to kill my shine saying I stole Grin style, we all love Grin but that was a tough one to overcome.”
The YBNL record label boss also hinted that he will no longer struggle for any award again. Referring to the fight that ensued between him and Don Jazzy at the 2015 Headies award, Olamide said if he needs 1m awards he will pay somebody to do them for him and if he cannot afford them he will go and steal from D’banj or Psquare, he jokingly said.
“Maybe if we start appreciating each other, love and respect our differences the world would be a better place. God is love, spread love, we are magic,” he ended it.
Meanwhile, Olamide is set to release his sixth solo studio album in December. The Nigerian rapper who has releases a studio album every year since he made his debut in 2011, is working hard to drop a studio album in 2016.
